Over It: The Good Times Continue October 10, 2010
Posted by brandy in books, games we play, H.A.D gets his own tag- that's love, i hate it when i blog about blogging, i know- we all LOVE him, i might be addicted to tags, I sound drunk but I assure you I am not, i think my sweetness gave you a cavity, i'm like barbra walters, if you're shallow and you know it clap your hands!, it's almost like a meme, lists, pirates, the less i worry the happier i am, the one that nobody reads because of the title, wasting time, when I go all Dr. Seuss on you.trackback
You know what I hate? When you take a hiatus from something (like, oh I don’t know, BLOGGING) and are thinking of starting again but are nervous (because what if you have nothing interesting to say?!), and people are all *up in your grill saying ‘don’t worry about it! it’s just like riding a bike! it will all come back to you’. Because really, when does that ever happen? When’s the last time you quit something and started up again and it was effortless? And am I the only one who ever finds riding a bike challenging?
Don’t answer the last question.
But seriously though, I’ve found that very few things are simple to re-start again. Relationships, cars with dead batteries… everything you want to do requires work. The end. I’m not saying that it’s not worth it, not at all- faaar from it actually, but it would be nice if instead of people making things sound effortless if they instead said something like this:
The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows when
But I’m strong
Strong enough to carry you
You ain’t heavy, you’re a blogger.
Or something. Okay those are actually the lyrics of “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother’, with a modern day twist. But you get the idea.
ANYWAY. So I was reading through my archives laughing at my own jokes looking for inspiration and I found this list I did a few years ago. And decided that while I ease my way back into the blogging world of sharing my thoughts and feelings and thoughts on everything (holy cats, COLTS?! Get it together?! Also can someone get Bradley Whitford a job please? Sweet goodness I miss his face.), an updated version of this list would be perfect. Onward!

haha this is a good list. I’m debating stealing it and making my own for my own blog writing comeback. Or whatever you call it. Blog writing and then subsequent hiatus. Or something.
And I’m still debating wanting to listen to Taylor Momsen, because I’ve been enjoying not seeing her on Gossip girl (yes, I watch it), and her raccoon eyes and Courtney Love hair scare me IRL.
As someone whose bike riding skills are nonexistent, I will agree, riding a bike IS impossible.
Bradley Whitford (and mustache!!!) is currently in a cop show with Colin Hanks called The Good Guys. It’s not bad.

Yes to Modern Family over the Office. I think Modern Family might just be one of the greatest shoes to come out in the past few years and there is absolutely nothing on tv right now that makes me laugh as hard as Modern Family.

Kind of off topic, but I’m watching a season 2 episode of the West Wing right now and I thought, I hope Channing and Sheen are best friends.
Seriously, I could barely ride a bike as a kid, I think I would have an issue if I tried to ride one now at 30, and wouldn’t try cause it would suck having to go to work with skinned knees
